EMERGENCY HOUSING UNIT FOR WOMEN
In our last newsletter, one of our goals was to obtain a new Emergency Housing Unit for Women. HHH purchased the unit but the company called us the following week to say that the unit was damaged. We will update you next month about the status.
FLORIDA STATE FAIR
Unfortunately, the Florida State Fair didn’t accept our vendor application saying our RV didn’t fit their criteria. However, there are plenty of events we are hopeful about going to this year!
HHH joined the Hillsborough County’s Cold Weather Shelter Program. It’s a collaboration to get as many people into shelter as possible when the weather reaches 40 degrees and below. We provided shelter during the cold snap for the County Program this past weekend – 1/28 through 1/30. The County provided mats, blankets, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc. We had enough blankets for forty people!
